The license of Anderson T. Scott was placed on probation in July 1988 based on findings that he had indiscriminately and excessively prescribed drugs.
Among the terms of the probation were that Scott not prescribe certain categories of drugs and that he obtain 50 hours of continuing medical education.
The board said it notified Scott that he was to appear before a board committee in December 1989 so that it could monitor his compliance with his probation. Scott did not attend the conference nor has he submitted any evidence of having obtained the continuing medical education course, according to an announcement from the board.
The board said that while on probation, Scott had prescribed drugs outside a bona-fide physician-patient relationship.
