DALE CITY MAN ADMITS ATTACK ON 11-YEAR-OLD

Randall Breer, who faced multiple sex-offense charges, entered three guilty pleas Wednesday in Loudoun County Circuit Court in connection with an attack on an 11-year-old girl last year.

Breer, 28, of Dale City, entered two guilty pleas to sodomy charges, one to abduction with intent to defile and an "Alford plea" - in which he did not admit guilt or innocence - on a rape charge.

Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Eric Strom said prosecutors pushed for the plea agreement because they wanted to avoid putting the victim on the stand.

The pleas also were part of an agreement reached with prosecutors and defense attorneys is Arlington County and Alexandria. Breer originally was charged with two rapes in Arlington, one in Alexandria and one in Loudoun County.

Under the agreement, two rape charges were dropped in exchange for guilty pleas in two other rapes.
