Mary Point Corell, age 94, of Salem, widow of H.A. (Judge) Corell, died in a local hospital on Thursday, April 5, 1990. Mrs. Corell served as organist at First Christian Church in Roanoke and as pianist for the Baraca Class at Greene Memorial United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Jack Frantz; grandson and wife, John and Donna Frantz; two great-grandsons, Nathan and Aaron, all of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Greene Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. Jerry O. Campbell and the Rev. Walter M. Lockett officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park. In lieu of flowers it is requested that gifts be made to the Capital Improvement Fund at Greene Memorial United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
