CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Bo-Peep Kuykendall Boyer, age 51, of Charlotte North
Carolina and Roanoke, Virginia, died Thursday, April 5, in Charlotte. She was
born October 13, 1938, in Winston-Salem, N.C. She was the daughter of Pauline
Isenhour Kuykendall of Charlotte and was preceded in death by her father,
Reagon L. Kuykendall. Mrs. Boyer graduated from Kernersville High School and
Catawba College. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was an
elementary education teacher in Winston-Salem and Charlotte Schools for ten
years. She became a regional field director for the North Carolina Association
of Educators serving in the Charlotte area until 1982. She was the wife of
Dwight W. Boyer, a security products industry executive, whom she married
February 14, 1981. She was the mother of Caroline Elizabeth Boyer of the home,
who was born January 8, 1982, and the step-mother of Dwight W. Boyer, Jr., of
Atlanta. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 1990, at
Morrison Chapel of Convenant Presbyterian Church with Dr. James F. Miller,
Senior Minister of the Church and the Reverend David Misenheimer, Pastor of
Christ Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment services will be at 3:00 p.m.
Saturday at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in Faith, North Carolina.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Barney Black, Dwight W. Boyer, Jr., R.W. Brooks, John
Gribble, Ben Jackson, and Jerry D. Evans. The family would like to express
their special appreciation to Ann Marie Black, Charlotte; Barbara Gribble,
Raleigh; Dr. Herman Godwin, Charlotte; and Dr. George Blumensheim, Arlington,
Texas, for their assistance to Bo-Peep in her six and one-half year battle
with cancer. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions in her memory to
Cancare of Charlotte, 2929 Selwyn Avenue, Charlotte, N.C. 28209. Harry and
Bryant Co., is serving the family of Mrs. Boyer.
