HELMS, J. TAZEWELL\ WILLIS - James Tazewell Helms, age 80, died Thursday, April 5, 1990, at Skyline Manor Nursing Home. He is survived by his daughter and son in-law, Betty and Ralph Yopp, Willis; son and daughter-in-law, Dorris and Frances Helms, Willis; sister, Mattie Slusher, Willis; brother, Edmond D. Helms, Gate City; two sisters-in-law, Vivian Helms, Willis; Maude Helms, Hollywood, Md; five granddaughters, Louise Y. Baker, Christiansburg; Linda Yopp, Germantwown, Md; Melanie Matthews, Richmond; Tamera Helms, Christiansburg; Mona Helms, Willis. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd with Rev. Richard A. Giessler officiating. Burial will be in the old Willis Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the Maberry Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, c/o Nadine Rutrough, Willis, Va. or to the Floyd County Rescue Squad.
