PASSENGER MILES UP, USAIR REPORTS

USAir reported a 4.3 percent increase in revenue passenger miles flown during March, compared with the Easter season month a year ago. The Arlington-based airline said its first quarter revenue passenger miles were up 8.5 percent. The figures have been restated to reflect the combined operations of the former Piedmont Aviation and USAir before their merger last August.
