PLAYERS PLAN TO SUE NFL OVER FREE AGENCY

Five to 10 NFL players are expected to file a federal antitrust suit next week against the league. Their target is the system that prevents the best veteran free agents from moving without restrictions to other teams.

The NFL Players Association is coordinating the suit.

One of the plaintiffs will be Green Bay Packers quarterback Don Majkowski, a former University of Virginia standout.

\ Authorities in Pennsylvania arrested men in the theft of memorabilia worth an estimated $300,000 from Baseball Hall of Famer James "Cool Papa" Bell, 86, at his home in St. Louis, the FBI said.

The two were identified as Robert D. Retort, 38, and Ed Grybowski, 65, both of Newcastle, Pa. The two are charged in a complaint filed in U.S. District Court with interstate transportation of stolen property.
