MAKE UP FOR THOSE WHO DON'T CARE

SINCE THE type of persons who litter and throw trash on the roads and highways never read the newspapers or care about their environment, they'll never see this type of letter chastising them in the newspaper. We citizens who care must make up for the rest of them.

Many people walk every day for their health. Once a month or so, why not take a trash bag or two and pick up the bottles and papers as you go? It is such a satisfying feeling to know you have helped beautify your area.\ PATRICIA JOHNSON\ LEXINGTON
