TECH HAS BASEBALL ON RADIO

Virginia Tech baseball games will air on commercial radio this season for the first time.

The schedule, which begins with today's 1 p.m. contest against Memphis State at English Field, includes 12 regular-season games, plus all postseason tournament action.

The games will air on WKEX-Blacksburg, WJJJ-Christiansburg and WYVE-Wytheville. Other Tech network stations also may pick up games during the season.

Bill Roth, the voice of Virginia Tech football and basketball, will handle play-by-play duties. Former Hokies baseball player Tom Morris will provide analysis.

Today--Memphis State, 12:50 p.m.; April 11--vs. Virginia at Madison High School, 6:50 p.m.; April 13--at South Carolina, 6:50 p.m.; April 14--at South Carolina, 6:50 p.m.; April 15--at South Carolina, 1:50 p.m.; April 18--at Old Dominion, 6:20 p.m.; April 21--Lousiville, 12:50 p.m.; May 7--vs. Duke at Martinsville, 6:50 p.m.; May 8--vs. Florida State at Salem, 6:50 p.m.; May 11--at Southern Mississippi, 6:20 p.m.; May 12--at Southern Mississippi, 6:20 p.m.; May 13--at Southern Mississippi, 1:50 p.m.; May 16-20--Metro Conference Tournament at Hattiesburg, Miss., times TBA.
