James Louis "Boo" Arthur age 83, of Salem, died Monday in a Salem hospital. He was a member of Taylor Lodge #23 AF and AM. He is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Helen and Lane Craig, of Roanoke; Sue and David Williams. of Salem; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Fletcher, of Scott, Ark.; grandson and wife, Arthur Lee and Leigh Anne Williams; granddaughter, Sarah Sue Williams; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park with Rev. James Holloman officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Lotz Salem Chapel.
