ROANOKE AD AGENCY MAKES TOP 500 LIST

Poindexter Associates is the only Roanoke ad agency to make a list of the nation's 500 top agencies compiled by Advertising Age magazine. It ranked 434.

Advertising agencies on the list, which appeared in the March 26 issue, were selected on the basis of domestic gross income. The magazine said Poindexter, with 11 employees, had 1989 gross income of nearly $830,000, up 15 percent from the prior year. Its billings were $6.4 million last year, compared with $4.7 million in 1988. - Staff report
