CHRISTIANSBURG GROCERY CLOSING

Montgomery County recently purchased the buildings that housed the store and several others for planned office expansion and parking.

The county paid $565,000 for the property.

Closing is scheduled for July 1. The county already has taken over a row of parking spaces on the site.

The store posted large going-out-of-business signs in its windows Monday evening.
