TIME TO SPEAK OUT ON MORAL POLLUTION

I SAY "Amen!" to Cal Thomas' article April 1 paper regarding the moral pollution of our country. We get so enraged at water and air pollution, the loss of our wilderness, the endangered species, etc. Much is said and done regarding those areas of our lives. I am glad we have activists who will speak out for these particular causes.

It is about time that we speak out against the moral pollution of our country - the wanton sex (unwanted children and social diseases); violence (more rape and murders); the use of drugs (robbery to support the use of drugs, fatal accidents and loss of jobs). That topic is saturating our airways, movies, records, taped and videos. These infringe on our freedoms.

Freedom brings an obligation to make moral decisions that will help us and our children learn respect and concern for others rather than only for their own wants and self-centeredness. Let's get back to the biblical idea of loving our neighbors as ourselves and being concerned for their welfare and moral character instead of being "free to say and do as I want to do" regardless of the consequences.
