UVA OFFICIAL TO HEAD ADMINISTRATION SOCIETY

Carl W. Stenberg, director of the University of Virginia's Center for Public Service, will become president of the American Society for Public Administration.

Stenberg assumes the position at the organization's 51st annual conference in Los Angeles.

Stenberg joined UVa last year after serving as executive director of the Council of State Governments and assistant director of the U.S. Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations.

The the society has more than 15,000 members nationwide, including government administrators, teachers and researchers.
