John Robert Williams, age 80, of Roanoke, died Tuesday in a local hospital. Surviving are his wife, Rosa Mae Wright Williams; three sons, John B. Williams, Collingdale, Pa.; James R. Williams, Roanoke; Ned T. Williams, Brewer, Ma.; four daughters, Brenda W. Barksdale, Va. Beach; Florence W. Carter, Connie W. Carter, Helen W. Gibson, all of Roanoke; nine grandchildren; one sister, Alice W. Thomas, Roanoke. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 13, 1990 at Mountain View Cemetery with Rev. Ernest C. Lewis and Rev. Frank G. Kish officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
