DUCK RACE SET FOR APRIL 21

The second annual Great Roanoke River Duck Race will be held April 21 at noon. Proceeds will benefit the American Lung Association of Virginia, Roanoke Region.

Duck sponsorships are $3 a "quack." Ducks will race downstream from the Franklin Road Bridge to the Victory Stadium overpass.

Sponsors for this year's race are WFIR-AM, Roanoke Memorial Hospitals, Harris Office Furniture Co., The Branch Group, Lewis-Gale Clinic, HCA/Lewis-Gale Hospital, Davidsons and Davidsons Outdoors and Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley.
