Rena Stebar Hypes, age 91, died Tuesday in a Montgomery County hospital. She is survived by one son, Robert F. Hypes; two daughters, Dorothy H. Keffer, Floe H. Miles, all of Newport; two sisters, Nellie Echols, Newport; Mattie Hutchison, Blacksburg; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Boitnott Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Hypes Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
