BRYANT, LYDIA K.

Lydia Kyle Bryant, age 68, departed this life Tuesday, April 10, 1990, at the Twin County Community Hospital after a short illness. She was born May 6, 1921, in Grayson County, Va., the daughter of the late Clyde Kyle and Vetra Brown Kyle. She had been a resident of Galax, Va. She was a faithful member of the Faith Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Galax where she served as president of the Usher Department, member of the Board of Mothers, member of the choir, and the Missionary Department. She also served on the food committee of the church and in the community. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Lee Eugene Kyle, Washington, D.C.; three daughters, Lotis B. Hash, Winston-Salem, N.C.; Renee Choate, Glade Valley, N.C.; Joyce Jones, Galax; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sam Kyle, Pulaski; Amos Kyle, Detroit, Mich.; three sisters, Pinkie Goins, Galax; Ellen Hall, Radford; Elgene McCray, Galax; one aunt, Eddie Tidline, Galax. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Faith Tabernacle Church of God with the Rev. Rose Bradley officiating. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery in Galax. Viewing will be at the church from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday. Penns Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
