MAN IS ARRESTED IN SEXUAL ASSAULT

A 41-year-old Pembroke man indicted on 29 charges of sexually assaulting his stepdaughter has been arrested and was being held Wednesday in the Giles County Jail.

The man, whose name is not being published to protect the girl's identity, was arrested late Tuesday after he surrendered to Sheriff Larry Falls at the Sheriff's Department hours after a grand jury issued an indictment. Bond was set at $20,000.
