OBIT--JOHNSTON

Edna Virginia Johnston, age 83, died Thursday morning in a Rich Creek nursing home. She is the daughter of the late Nathan P. and Lottie Moser Wells. She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Johnston, Sr.; one son, Robert F. Johnston, Jr., Moneta; one daughter, Beulah J. Britts, Pembroke; one brother, Mark Wells, Tacoma, Wash.; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church, Pembroke, with the Rev. Raymond S. Kelley officiating. Burial will be at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Williams-Jamison-Kendall Funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00.
