The segment dealing with Frank Van Dyke Hobbs was filmed last month in Chattanooga, Tenn., where Hobbs had been freed on bond and once again failed to show up for a court appearance.
Wythe County Sheriff Wayne Pike will appear on the TV show. But the national exposure will not mean much to him in his home county, since none of its cable companies carry the Fox Network. Only satellite-dish owners will be able to see the show.
Pike said he hoped the broadcast would help capture Hobbs again.
Hobbs, a radio disc jockey, was charged in Virginia with having at least two wives when he married again. He failed to show up for his bigamy trial in Wytheville at the end of 1984.
