BIG DOGS ROAM FREE, CREATE NUISANCE

HOW STRICTLY is Roanoke County's leash law enforced? Within the last several weeks, I have written county animal-control about large dogs running loose in our subdivision. I still see those same dogs running unrestricted.

My mail was undelivered one day because of "dog in yard"; yet, I have no dog. Those of us who have no dogs certainly are not happy with the cleanups necessary when mowing the yard - or the undue concern when walking.

More and more people seem to own big dogs, which is their prerogative; however, it is not their prerogative to let them roam the neighborhood as a nuisance to other residents.
