NAMES ON CAMPUS/ NEW RIVER COMMUNITY COLLEGE

\ DEBBIE LINEWEAVER has become a training specialist in the Office of Continuing Education. She was an assistant professor of psychology.

\ JUTTA GREEN of Blacksburg is a new faculty member. She teaches public relations management and microcomputer applications in business. She has taught at Louisiana College and Radford University.

\ RHONDA DOTSON is the new college recruiter. Dotson's duties include recruiting students, conducting tours of the area and working with counselors and faculty.

\ MURRAY E. BOSNIAK, adjunct English instructor, had a short story published in the winter 1990 Women's American ORT Reporter.

\ CATHERINE A. CLOUGH, assistant professor in the interpreter training program, met with the Virginia Department of Education to discuss ways of providing training for educational interpreters in the public schools.

\ THOMAS W. WILKINSON, director of Learning Resources, co-authored "Distance Education and Student Procrastination," which was published in the December 1989 Educational Technology magazine.

\ GRAHAM SIMMERMAN, professor of drafting, and\ JAN MARTIN, assistant professor of community and social services, have received the college's New River Faculty Humanitarian awards, which recognize the accomplishments of faculty in the community. Simmerman is an assistant scout master with the Radford Boy Scouts and chapter president of the state Archeology Society. Martin is a sponsor of the Human Service Organization and an adviser to the Appalachian Awareness Committee.
