DAVIDSON, SAMUEL E.\ Mr. Samuel Early Davidson, age 86, of Southwest Roanoke, died Friday. He was retired from Norkfolk & Western and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Richland and was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Almedia Arnold Davidson; one son and daughter-in-law, Gordon Preston and Patricia Hudson Davidson, Roanoke; two brothers, Willard Peal Davidson, Villamont; Clifford Newman Davidson, Roanoke; one sister, Mary Virginia Tenefoss, Montsano, Wash.; two foster sisters, Duanne Carter, Charlotteville; Billie Jane Jefferson, Newport News; one aunt, Eva Thompson Lindow, Washington, D.C. The family request that memorials be made to the Roanoke Memorial Hospice Program, P.O. Box 13367, Roanoke, Va. 24033. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 16, at Lotz Roanoke Chapel by the Rev. J. Weldon Myers with burial in Sherwood Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Roanoke.
