ROBERTSON, JAMES E.\ James E. (Ed) Robertson died Thursday in a Montgomery County hospital. He is survived by his wife, Helen H. Robertson, New Castle; one son, David E. Robertson, New Castle; one brother, W. Houston Robertson, New Castle; three sisters, Kate Echols, Roanoke; Grace Robertson and Thelma Oliver, both of Pearisburg; one grandson, James (Jimmy) Robertson; one granddaughter, Chrystal (Chrissy) Robertson, both of New Castle. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Boitnott Funeral Home Chapel with interment in the Ross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. It is requested that contributions be made to the rescue squad or the Simmonsville Fire Department in lieu of flowers.
