Mr. Charles Edward (Ted) Webber, age 90, of Salem, died Friday, April 13,
1990. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Graham Webber; children, Jean Webber
Payne of Greensboro, N. C.; Charles E. Webber, Jr. of Richmond; sister, Emma
Webber of Salem; grandchildren, Kathryn Payne Wueste, Atlanta, Ga.; Charles
Edward Payne, Greensboro; William M. Payne, III of Raleigh, N. C.; Mary
Campbell Webber, Kimberly Webber Bain, both of Hendersonville, N. C.;
great-grandchildren, Kristin Wueste, James F. Wueste, III; Elizabeth Wueste,
Regan Wueste, Kelly Payne, Charles E. Payne, Jr., Johnathan Bain, Michael
Bain, Emily Elizabeth Bain. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday
at First United Methodist Church, Salem, with the Rev. James G. Holloman, the
Rev. Levi Stroud and Dr. Harry Y. Gamble officiating. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Salem, the Roanoke
Scottish Rite Bodies Language Disorder Clinic, 622 Campbell Ave., Roanoke, Va.
24016, in c/o of Arney Dalton, Sec.; the 4-H Center at Smith Mountain Lake,
Steering Committee Office, 5369 Peters Creek Road, N.W., Roanoke, Va.,
24019-3849; or your favorite charity. The family will receive friends 7:00 to
9:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by the
John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem.
