JOHNSON, FRED E.\ NATURAL BRIDGE STATION - Fred Ewel Johnson, age 81, died April 14, 1990, in Pinehurst, N.C. He was born in Rockbridge County, January 22, 1909, the son of the late Thomas B. and Nellie Woods Johnson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Coleman Johnson. Surviving are two sons, Cecil L. Johnson, Aberdeen, N.C.; Elmer D. Johnson, Natural Bridge Station; one brother, James T. Johnson, Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Lula J. Parker, Natural Bridge; Doris J. Campbell, Lexington; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 17, at 11:00 a.m. in the Glenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church in Arnolds Valley with the Rev. Claude Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7:00 to 8:00 at the Lomax Funeral Home in Buena Vista.
