FAIRFAX WATER WORKERS FIND INFANT REMAINS

Maintenance workers found parts of an infant's body Sunday at a Fairfax County water pumping station, county police said.

Officer Bill Coulter said authorities were called to the Difficult Run Pumping Station after the grisly discovery Sunday morning.

Authorities don't know yet whether the child was a boy or a girl, or when the infant died, Coulter said. Authorities also couldn't tell how the body parts got into the water system.
