PAPER A NOTCH BELOW SUPERMARKET TABS

IF I WERE a resident of Roanoke County, the primary reason I would vote against the proposed consolidation with Roanoke City is the Roanoke Times & World-News.

The newspaper develops pet peeves against persons or organizations and drives them in the ground. It has shown no mercy for the sheriff of Roanoke County or the National Rifle Association, to name two.

In my opinion, this newspaper is one notch below the tabloids at the supermarket checkout counter. Any existing or future Roanoke County official should be aware that he or she could be ruined by this newspaper.\ ROBERT M. ALLS\ SALEM
