OBIT-HUFFMAN, A.

GLASGOW - Amy Sue Downey Huffman, age 87, died Sunday at Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley. She was born in Amherst County March 12, 1903, and was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Lilly Maude Rice Downey. She was the widow of Russell W. Huffman. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Nunn, Jr. Roanoke; Mrs. Jack Runckel, Newport News; one son, Russell D. Huffman, Baton Rouge, LA.; one sister, Mrs. Frances VanNatta, Glasgow; one brother, Harry Downey, Big Island; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. William Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Buena Vista. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
