RUCKER, FRANK\ BEDFORD - Mr. Frank Rucker, Jr., of Rt. 1 Box 81, departed this life Monday, April 16, 1990, in the Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born January 29, 1921, to the late Frank and Blanche Rucker. He was the third of five children. At an early age, he found Christ and joined the Washington Street Baptist Church where he belonged to the Brotherhood Club and the Senior Usher Board. He worked faithfully driving the church bus and was kind to all. Later he attended the New Life Baptist Church, pastored by Rev. John D. Beamer, until his death. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Mrs. Helen L. Rucker; one son, Rupert Mosley of Bedford; one daughter, Mrs. Delores Johnson, Oxen Hill, Md.; one brother, James T. Rucker, Baltimore, Md.; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth R. Green and Mrs. Alma R. Foster, both of Richmond; Mrs. Marie R. Otey of Bedford; two devoted stepchildren, Marvin Thorpe, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Yvonne Hicks of Baltimore, Md.; two uncles, Ellis Blair of Bedford; William Rucker of New York; seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 1990, at 11:00 a.m. at the New Life Baptist Church in Bedford conducted by the Rev. John D. Beamer. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the New Life Baptist Church, Bedford, in the name of Mr. Frank Rucker. Bedford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
