PEARISBURG - Mary Ella Underwood Whitlow, age 82, died Monday, April 16, 1990, in the Riverview Nursing Home. Mrs. Whitlow was born in Franklin County on September 19, 1907. She was the daughter of late George S. and Lucy Montgomery Underwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leonard Whitlow. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Roger Harmon, Pearisburg; two sisters, Mrs. W.B. Woodford, Roanoke; Mrs. M.L. Robinsohn, Brunswick, Ga. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Givens Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert Putt officiating. Burial in Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem. Friends may call at Givens Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
