OBIT-JETT, G.

George W. Jett, Jr., age 86, passed away Monday. He was the husband of the late Kathryn M. Jett. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech, retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., and a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are his daughters, Julia J. Shepherd, Richmond; Margaret J. May, Allentown, Pa.; grandchildren, Robert, Sharon and Stephanie Shepherd, Richmond; Kathryn and Kimberly May, Allentown, Pa.; one great grandson, Robert E. Shepherd, IV. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside Evergreen Burial Park, 1:00 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. John D. Cochran officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
