HARDY - William Howard Waldron, age 78, of Route 1, Hardy, passed away Thursday in a local hospital. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Christine Spradlin Waldron. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, William Ronald and Peggy Waldron, Hardy; a daughter, Jean Mays, Belton, Mo.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Samuel Williamson, Gail and Rick Gilbert, both of Hardy; one brother, C. M. (Moody) Waldron, Hardy; one sister, Evelyn McGuire, Moneta; nine grandchildren, Terry and Marty Williamson, Crystal and Shane Waldron, Keith Tinnell, Robby and Brad Gilbert, Jeff and Barry Duke; two great-grandchildren, Robert and Ashley Duke; also, five step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday from the Lotz Vinton Chapel, with the Rev. Burrell Baker and the Rev. Clay E. Peters, II, officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
