Garland E. Carroll, age 81, of 1150 Vinyard Rd., Apt. 327, Vinton, died Thursday, April 19, 1990. He was retired from the N&W Railway and was a past member of the Roanoke Elks Club and the Salem Lions Club. Surviving are one son, Garland Tom Carroll; daughter-in-law, Ann L. Carroll; grandson, Greg T. Carroll, all of Goodview; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Edward O'Connor, Roanoke. Graveside services will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 11:00 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. William R. Klein officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
