DANCING WITH INSIGHT: That's the early word on Susan Marshall and Company, the New York troupe that will troop onto the Main Stage of Mill Mountain Theatre in Roanoke for a performance Monday night at 8.

Tickets are $7 and are available at Mill Mountain box office, which is closed Monday, or at the door Monday night. Or you can call the Arts Council of Roanoke Valley at 342-5790. The show is one of the council's One Night Stands.\ LIFT EVERY VOICE: J.S. Bach's "B Minor Mass" will be presented by the Roanoke Valley Choral Society on Monday night at 8 in Clara Black Auditorium of Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke.

It's actually a "missa brevis," in that the "Credo" of the piece has been deleted.

An orchestra will accompany the singers. Soloists will be sopranos Marianne Sandborg and Elaine Fields, alto Diane Thornton, tenor Michael Henry and bass Philip Sargent.

The tickets, priced at $10, will be available at the door.\ ART OPENING: The 11th annual City Art Show will open with a reception Thursday evening at 5 at the Roanoke Museum of Fine Arts at Center in the Square. The reception will include the presentation of the 6th annual Perry F. Kendig Awards for outstanding contributions to the area's arts activities.

At 7 that night, Artemis, the organization of Blue Ridge writers and artists, will have its annual spring reading in the museum's second floor galleries. It's free.\ THE THREE Ms: The Mind's Eye Performance Group from Nashville will perform "Realizations for Movement, Music and Media" Monday night at 8 in Playhouse 460 of Virginia Tech's Theatre Arts-University Theatre in Blacksburg.

They say it's movement theater with special effects, projections and original electronic music. Sample titles: "The Duck from Space" and "Pushing the Envelope."

Tickets are $2.\ WE'RE GETTIN' OLD: Pat Moore will speak on "Aging is Everybody's Business" Tuesday night at 8 at Cave Spring High School auditorium.

She is co-author of "Disguised," a book based on her experiences from the three years she traveled the United States disguised as an 84-year-old woman.

Her talk is sponsored by the Junior League of Roanoke Valley Inc. Admission is free. To reserve a seat, call 774-3242.\ SPRING CONCERT: The New River Valley Symphony will perform works of Wagner, Respighi and Grieg on Sunday night at 8 in Burruss Auditorium at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.

Pianist Mary Louise Hallauer will be featured.

Tickets are $5, or $3 for students and senior citizens.\ OPERA IN MINIATURE: Trittico, a three-member singing group, will perform opera pieces and Broadway songs tonight at 8 in Olin Theater at Roanoke College in Salem. Admission is $5 for most people, $4 for senior citizens and students.

The trio consists of soprano Cynthia Daniel, tenor Gary Fulsebakke and pianist Judith Clark.

The first part of the program will feature a portion of Menotti's "Telephone," excerpts from "Don Pasquale" and part of Carlilse Floyd's contemporary opera, "Susannah."

The remainder will include excerpts Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom of the Opera" and selections from "The Music Man" and "Annie Get Your Gun."

\ SUPERWOMAN: Marjorie Shaevitz, author of "The Superwoman Syndrome," will speak Monday night during the sixth annual Women's Forum of Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley.

The forum will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Mill Mountain Theatre in Center in the Square.

Tickets are $10. For information call 985-8190.\ CHAMBER MUSIC: The Roanoke Valley Chamber Music Society will present the Fine Arts Quartet Monday night at 8 at Olin Theater of Roanoke College.

John Hitchings of Radford University will present a concert preview at 7:30 in Olin 325. Tickets are $10 for adults and $3 for students age 18 and younger. They will be sold at the door or you may order them by calling 375-2333.

The program will include Borodin's "Quartet No. 2," from which the popular songs "Baubles, Bangles and Beads" and "And This is My Beloved" were derived.
