SOERING REQUESTS HAYSOM'S RECORDS

Jens Soering's defense attorneys want to be supplied with Elizabeth Haysom's records from the three years she has spent in prison.

In a document filed Thursday in Bedford County Circuit Court, attorneys Rick Neaton and William Cleaveland requested Soering's former girlfriend's records, including: psychological evaluations, her written correspondence with corrections officials or others, names of her visitors at the Goochland prison, any records of substance abuse treatment, her disciplinary record, any of her writing or notes and names of those with whom she has shared a cell.

Haysom, now 26, was sentenced to 90 years in prison for being an accessory before the fact in the slayings of her parents. Soering, charged with the 1985 slashing killings, faces trial June 1.
