COLLINSVILLE - Dellmon (Dell) E. Harper, age 83, of Collinsville, died Thursday at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born in Hillsville March 24, 1907, son of the late William Harper and Cora Southern Harper. He attended the Martinsville Church of God and was also a retired contractor. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Delsie A. Harper, of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Elbert (Melba) Seagle, Greenwood, S.C.; Mrs. James (Emily) Watkins, Mrs. Steve (Ada) Crockett, Ms. Carol H. Gusler, Ms. Lynn H. Reeves, all of Collinsville; two sons, Glenn E. Harper, Ridgeway; James D. Harper, Lynchburg; one sister, Edna S. Marshall, Hillsville; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Service Chapel, Bassett, with burial in Henry Memorial Park.
