Mrs. Mary Havens Catron, age 79, of Roanoke, died at the home of her daughter in Tazewell, Va., Friday, April 20, 1990. She was the widow of J. P. Catron and a member of Villa Heights Baptist Church. Surviving are five daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Bill Bowman, Tazewell; Carolyn and Aubrey Mayberry, Raleigh, N.C.; Anna and Ray Riddle, Danville; Eleanor Huff, Roanoke; Lucy and Hal Loar, Harrisonburg; stepson, Roy Catron, Culpeper; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Mark Havens, Narrows; one sister, Gladys Sood, Oakland, Calif. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Monday by the Rev. J. Landon Maddex. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
