SHAWSVILLE SENIORS FIFTH IN K-92 CONTEST

Shawsville High School's senior class recently collected $1,300 in pennies to win fifth place in radio station K-92's "Pennies for Pride" school spirit contest.

The class used the money to complete their traditional community-service project. The money was donated to three local projects: The Christmas Store in Christiansburg, the Shawsville Rescue Squad, and the Elliston Volunteer Fire Department. Each charity received $466.
