CHRISTIANSBURG - Mrs. Narcy Brown Miles, age 90, died Thursday, April 19, 1990, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was the former Mrs. Jake Miles of Riner. She was born and raised in Russell County, Va. After marrying the late Fred Brown, Sr., of Bristol, Tenn., she and her family moved to this area. Both were active members of the Fairlawn Baptist Church, where she was referred to as Dorcas of the Bible because of her doing for others and the sharing of her possessions. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dan (Edith) Lethcoe, Falls Church; two sons, George Brown, Salt Lake City, Utah; Donald L. Brown, Christiansburg. One son, Fred Brown, Jr., preceded her in death. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Mary V. Harrison, Castlewood, Va.; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two stepsons, three stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Monday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Vernon D. Miller and the Rev. Bobby Sutphin. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
