Carrie Austin Trammel Smith, age 83, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday. She was the widow of James Edward Smith. Survivors include a stepson, James B. Smith, Inman, S.C.; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Sylvia Litton, Johnson City, Tenn.; Mrs., Robert (Mary) Hutton, Johnson City, Tenn.; Mrs. C.D. (Jean) Grant, Inman, S.C.; Mrs. A.M. (Norma) Austin, Houston, Texas; several stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 1990 from the Lotz Vinton Chapel. The Rev. Randy Daniels will officiate. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
