Marshall Samuel Grim, Sr., age 82, of Salem died Sunday in a Salem hospital. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Osceola-Roanoke Lodge No. 47 and the D.O.K.K. Rajah Temple No. 195. He is survived by his wife, Frances Henry Grim; five sons, John W. Grim, Troutville; Marshall Grim, Jr. and Henry Grim, both of Salem; Edward Grim, San Antonio, Texas; Richard Lee Grim, Roanoke; one daughter, Cynthia A. Grim, Salem; two brothers, George W. Grim and Earl C. Grim; four sisters, Virginia Shelton, Mary Nichols, Thelma Dooley, Stella Broyles; four grandsons, three granddaughters, one great-grandson, one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, by Dr. B. Conrad Johnston. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem.
