OBIT BALARZS, S.

Steve Balarzs, age 78, of 110 Midway St., Narrows, Va., died Monday, April 23, 1990, in the Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek, Va. He was born in Springfield, Ind., December 25, 1911, and was a son of the late Sigmond and Barbara Bodnar Balarzs. He was a retired superintendent of public works for the town of Narrows and was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Narrows and the Vivian Lodge #105 AF & AM of Kimball, W.Va. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary G. Balarzs, Narrows; one son, Roger S. Balarzs, Pembroke; one daughter, Joyce B. Wysong, Princeton, W.Va.; three brothers, Ernie Balarzs, Orville, Calif.; Bill Balarzs, Narrows; Fred Balarzs, Richmond; three sisters, Barbara B. Evans, Richmond; Alice B. Doria, Proctorville, Ohio; Dizella Fazekas, McAllen, Texas; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Riffe's Funeral Chapel, Narrows, with the Rev. Jack E. Musick officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
