Carl Edwin (Ed) Dillon, age 69, of 385 East Reservoir St., died Tuesday morning at his residence. He was the owner and operator of the Red House, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Katherine Eversole Dillon of Wytheville; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Dusty Suthers, of Wytheville; one son, Carl Edwin (Eddie) Dillon, Jr., of Roanoke; two brothers, Herman Dillon, of Wytheville; and C.J. Dillon, of Max Meadows; six grandchildren, Skip Dillon, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Elizabeth LeRoy of Arlington; Debbie Dillon, of Radford; Peter Dillon, of Roanoke; Micheal Suthers and Marty Suthers, both of Wytheville. A graveside service will be Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the East End Cemetery conducted by Pastor Joseph Shumate . The family will receive friends at the Grubb Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
