RAP-A-THON REVIEW NARROW-MINDED

MELINDA Payne's April 16 Rap-a-Thon review shows narrow-mindedness and the growing negative press Afro-Americans are receiving nationwide.

The reporter's job is to critique the concert, to give the people who were unable to attend a vivid description. The tasteless criticism of the haircuts and attire showed a strong resentment for the music and the culture of the people.

By the way, didn't the people look and dress alike at the New Kids' concert? LEON LEWIS SALEM
