WYTHEVILLE COLLEGE READIES HEALTH FAIR

The annual Wytheville Community College Health Fair Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Galax Hall offers a variety of health tests, all free except for blood work.

Cholesterol levels, Pap smears, glaucoma testing, blood pressure, weight, hearing, eyes and dental checks are among the free test offerings.

Medical laboratory technology students at the college will provide complete blood workups under the supervision of Betty Craft, program head, and John Todd, from the Wythe County Community Hospital laboratory department. The cost is $18 and participants should not eat anything for eight hours before testing.
