GINGRICH TO HOST SHOW TO ATTRACT VOTERS

House Republican Whip Newt Gingrich will be host of a satellite broadcast, "American Opportunities Workshop," that he says is a non-partisan outreach program designed to attract disaffected voters.

Yet the May 19 broadcast from five sites in the country, estimated to cost at least $250,000, is being bankrolled by GOPAC, a fund-raising committee that helps Republican candidates.

"There are references to ideas, but there are no references in the entire show to either political party," Gingrich said.
