PANEL TO EXPLAIN SCHOOL PROGRAMS FOR GIFTED KIDS

Parents will have a chance to talk to experts about programs for gifted and talented children at a panel discussion Monday at 7 p.m. at Virginia Western Community College.

The Roanoke Regional Council for Education of the Gifted is sponsoring the discussion, which will address ways for parents to become involved.

Panel speakers will include Jane Craig, state Department of Education director for gifted programs, and John Booth, education specialist for gifted programs in the Henrico County public schools.

The discussion will be held in the business science auditorium.
