\ Mr. Ernest L. Phifer, age 65, of 2243 Mountain View Terrace, passed away Thursday in a local nursing home. Survivors include his stepmother, Marie Phifer; son, Alex Lee Phifer, Japan; daughters, Barbara E. Phifer and Judy P.
